· The litter containers will have a capacity
of 35 gallons and will be emptied a minimum of once
per week.
· Quantities are limited, therefore
containers will be placed in the order that requests
are received.
· Residents participating in this
program will be asked to help in the monitoring of illegal
dumping and also ensure that containers are emptied
frequently enough to eliminate overflowing.
· Two containers will be placed in
most blocks to allow the greatest flexibility for residents
to place their litter.
· Containers were placed in target
areas of the City in June of 1999 and we are now looking
to expand this program with additional containers being
placed in your neighborhood. This program will continue
to be evaluated during the winter and spring months
with possible relocation or increase in service depending
on the use of such containers.
· If you agree to participate in this
program, we will be in contact with you after receipt
of your
application.Your input in this important program
is crucial in ensuring the success of this program,
CITY WIDE.
