Goals 2007 for the Office
of Community Development
• Attract new developers
to undertake Economic Development projects that help in
creating 200 new jobs in the City.
• Instigate the development of
100 more market rate housing units.
• Continue to explore sources
of funding that will allow the City to expeditiously eliminate
Slum and Blight and develop mixed income housing throughout
the City.
• Create an Entertainment Overlay
District to revitalize the Downtown and encourage the
development of family type restaurants and retail establishments
that encourage people to visit the City.
• Create a redevelopment
plan for the riverfront area.
