The Reading Area Water Authority has temporarily suspended the monthly Recycling Charges from your monthly Reading Area Water Authority Utility Bill, pending the appeal of the decision issued by the Commonwealth Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Reading Area Water Authority will notify the customers via your monthly bill, the Reading Area Water Authority website and the Reading Eagle if or when these charges resume. The collection of recyclable material by the City will continue on its regular schedule.
Residents of Reading: The Reading Police Department would like you to be careful when approached by vendors and door-to-door salespersons. Please check that they have the proper permit from the Office of the Chief of Police, not just a business license from City Hall. We have been made aware that there is are companies going door to door without a permit and being overly aggressive with residents.
